Venting

So the whole baby thing is not happening...still. I am constantly surrounded by people who are pregnant or have kids and I and I cant not tell you how tough it is to be around them and not be jealous. We are trying to stay positive and hopeful and Brett is doing much better than I am with everything. He is always the positive one.

The thing that really gets to me is the prego people who complain. They really dont know how lucky they are. It takes everything thing in me not to go off on them.

It all comes down to me wishing we could have a baby.

Weight loss

So after being miserable about my weight for sometime now, I have decided it is time to do something about it. I am at the peak and I dont like what I am looking at. I am starting to not fit into things that were once so loose I had to take them in. I had to go up two jean sizes...never a fun experience. I dont feel like I have been eating more or doing things different but obviously something is happening so that I am gaining at a ridiculous speed.

So step one to my weight loss journey is to make a goal. I would like to be in the healthy range for my height and that means that at 5'7'' I need to be at most 145lbs. That is going to be tough but I have been there before and I can do it again. I would like to be back in size eights and not have to perform surgery to get into them...meaning I am a true size eight. And I would like to get down to a small D cup or even better a large C. So there you have it...hopefully I can do it. I want to do this by my birthday on September 18.

Now for the scary part. I need to post how big I am currently that way I can motivate myself to not be that size anymore. So here we go...I truly dont know my weight. I do not have a scale and its been forever since I have been weighed but I am sure its a scary number. I do however have my measurements and they are equally scary.

Starting measurments:

Waist: 42"
Bust: 46"
Hips: 51"
Thigh: 31"
Calves: 17"
Arms: 14"

I will keep posting every month on the inches just so that I can mark any changes for better or worse that occur. I am also going to post pictures so that I can track the changes that way also.

Tutus

Being a Navy wife it is hard to find a job that is willing to work around my husbands schedule. Brett's schedule changes so often that with only one car it makes it impossible to find work so that leaves me with finding something to do at home. My Mom called me with an idea of making and selling tutus since I love anything crafty. So thats what I am doing. I love making them cause they are fun and pretty and I can see any little girl loving to play in them. To kick things off I am going to be giving away one FREE tutu in a raffle here and on facebook. I will add all the names add pull one out and send the tutu over to you.


My tutus cost $20.00 for sizes 14" to 30" and $5.00 for each hand added embellishment.

We are so excited to get to live in another country and somewhere so completely different than the US. We cant wait. I will post more info as I get it but we are thrilled!

Happy Birthday Brett

My best friend in the whole entire world turned 26 on February 21, 2010! 

   

For it we decided to go out the day before to one of his favorite restaurants around here and get some awesome southern BBQ. We both got the North Carolina pulled pork. It is amazing! We then headed over to the theater and saw Wolfman. It was defiantly scary and made us...I mean just me ;)...jump a few times. Very fun.We also bought his big birthday present...more on that later.

On Sunday on his actual birthday we stayed in and I made him dinner, one of his favorites, homemade meatloaf. I was kind of surprised that out of everything that that was what he wanted but I who am I to argue with the birthday boy?

Brett likes to make little sandwiches with a little bit of everything in it....

Brett doesnt like cakes so I made him his favorite since what he normally gets is no where around. 

He normally gets cinnabon for his birthday but the closest one to us is about 50 miles away so I did my best to give him what he is used to. Only problem was how much we ended up with. The batch made over two dozen rolls and each of us was trying to be good and only have one. We ended up throwing the rest out, they were just too hard to resisted if we left them out until we found someone to give them to. 

Bretts big present was something that he has been wanting for a long time...a dog he actually got along with and that would be perfect for us. On Saturday we went out and found the most amazing dog on Craigslist and we just adore him. He is 10 weeks old and only weighs about 2 lbs. We just love his puppy kisses. Brett named him Thurgy after his best friends family that he just loves.

Brett surprised me with flowers on valentines day! He is so sweet. The card read, "I will always been your Valentine no matter how far apart we are"....AWWWWWWWWWWWW I melt.
